Whitewater Rafting
The Roaring Fork River gives the Roaring Fork Valley its namesake. It also provides 70 miles of freestone river starting high up on Independence Pass and flowing thru the valley to Glenwood Springs where it meets the mighty Colorado River. There are numerous opportunities to enjoy whitewater rafting within an hour’s drive of Snowmass Village. Our guests have the opportunity to raft the infamous Slaughterhouse drop and the other Class IV rapid on the upper Roaring Fork, the classic Shoshone Rapids offering Class III & IV rapids and the world class rapids of the Arkansas River (Browns Canyon/Number/Pine Creek) that will surely get your blood pumping.
We recommend contacting Snowmass Village’s friendliest and most experienced rafting company, Blazing Adventures to schedule your next rafting, ducky or SUP (stand up paddleboard) adventure. They can accommodate groups of any size and offer on property pick-ups here at The Crestwood.
